Wall and centre seal with half hollow chamber and short glass insertion

This vertical shower door seal provides effective splash protection by creating a flexible barrier along narrow gaps where a shower door meets a fixed glass panel or where the glass meets the wall. The flexible half hollow chamber helps reduce water leakage, while the short glass grip allows the seal to fit in areas with limited space, particularly where shower fittings extend inwards. This replacement shower seal is designed for toughened safety glass with a thickness of exactly 6mm.

The shower seal features an open, half hollow chamber made from flexible soft PVC that adapts to the adjoining surface to help reduce water leakage. The transparent satin-finish rigid PVC section provides a secure grip on the glass and has an insertion depth of just 5mm. This compact design is particularly useful where space is limited, while the clear finish blends discreetly into modern frameless glass shower enclosures.

Easy installation

The half hollow chamber shower seal is easy to replace and can be fitted directly onto compatible glass edges without specialist equipment. First, remove the existing shower seal and clean the glass thoroughly to remove any dirt, soap residue or limescale.

The seal is supplied in a 200cm length and can be shortened to fit your shower enclosure. Measure the required height and trim the seal using suitable cutting tools, such as mitre shears, an anvil cutter or a fine-toothed saw. Once cut to size, carefully push the rigid PVC section onto the clean glass edge.

Care instructions

To maintain your shower seal, simply clean it with lukewarm water and a soft microfibre cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a mild, chlorine-free and non-alkaline cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaning products, solvents and scouring pads to protect the PVC material and preserve its clear finish.
